I graduated from Crawford College of Art of Design in 1999 with an honours degree in Ceramic Design. I work from my studio near Skibbereen in West Cork.
The majority of my work is slip cast fine bone china pieces for illumination. Although I also create vessels and other items, I primarily make pieces designed to be lit internally such as lamps and tea lights. The translucency of the bone china allows the light to shine through the various designs, with accents provided by decorative cuts, perforations and glaze patterns.
