Cork Potters member, Kate Standen, is set to captivate audiences this summer with her participation in two highly anticipated events. As part of the Irish Wings Festival on the picturesque Island of Paxos, Greece. Kate’s exceptional talent will be showcased alongside a collection of her vessels and sculptures. Running from July 14th to August 8th, this cultural collaboration between Greek and Irish influences promises to immerse visitors in a fusion of music, literature, food, and the visual arts. Among the six distinguished Irish artists invited to exhibit their works, Sinead Fagan also a Cork Potters member, will also contribute to this extraordinary showcase.

Kate Standen will also feature in the Ballymaloe Annual Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition ’23. Her remarkable creation, the “Rock Garden Vessel,” will grace the exhibition’s grounds, adding a touch of elegance and ingenuity. Curated by Richie Scott, the event promises to be a spectacular celebration of sculpture and creativity.

The exhibition will run for an impressive three months, concluding on Thursday, August 31st. Visitors can explore the exhibition daily from 9am to 9pm, with free admission and Thursday night talks that delve into the artistic process. These engaging one-hour tours will uncover the stories behind the masterpieces, shedding light on the artists and the materials employed in their creation.
