About
Catherine came to working with clay through the traditional route of apprenticeship. Having worked as a production potter for more than twenty years she returned to education enrolling on a degree course in Visual Art with DIT. A recent graduate of the Higher Diploma in Art Education at CCAD most of her time is now spent teaching and facilitating group & community art projects.
“My ceramic work is inspired by the surrounding land and sea scape and influenced by the techniques of the production potter”.
Catherine’s work can be seen in ‘Etain Hickey Collections’, Clonakilty.
